My ISP is FIRED.



During that first three hour outage, I called the tech support line.

83 minutes later with no answer (aside from "your call is important to us and we will be with you shortly"), I finally hung up.

If I were on call this weekend, I would have been soooo screwed.

If you're expected to be on call, your employer should spring for a backup broadband connection.

well, they do spring for the primary broadband connection, and I don't think they expect it to go down any more than I do :)

I have opened a ticket with a new provider, and hopefully in 2 weeks or so I'll be doing the happy dance of high speed/low latency. As you can see above, even when it's working my first hop ping is effing ridiculous with the current provider.
